Fünf Künst­ler/-innen aus Chi­na und fünf Künst­ler/-innen aus Euro­pa zei­gen ihre aktu­el­len Wer­ke zum The­ma Rhyth­mus in der bil­den­den Kunst. „Nicht begrenzt wer­den vom Größ­ten und den­noch ein­ge­schlos­sen sein vom Gerings­ten“, ist eine Defi­ni­ti­on, die das Vor­ha­ben der Künst­ler­grup­pe Rhythm Sec­tion erklärt.

Der wesent­li­che Kern, der die Künst­ler/-innen der Grup­pe Rhythm Sec­tion in ihren Wer­ken ver­bin­det, ist die Refle­xi­on im Umgang mit Rhyth­mus als ori­gi­nä­re Kon­stan­te. Der kla­re Umgang mit Rhyth­mus erlaubt eine unend­li­che Viel­falt an indi­vi­du­el­len Variationen.

Rhythm Sec­tion ist eine Platt­form für Künst­ler/-innen, die an einem Aus­tausch zum The­ma Rhyth­mus in der bil­den­den Kunst inter­es­siert ist. Rhythm Sec­tion besteht nicht nur aus bil­den­den Künst­ler/-innen, die Instal­la­ti­on, Zeich­nung, Video, Skulp­tur, Male­rei und digi­ta­le Kunst, um nur eini­ge zu nen­nen, ver­tre­ten, son­dern auch aus Kunst­kri­ti­ker/-innen, Theo­re­ti­ker/-innen, Phi­lo­so­phin/-innen und Leh­rer/-innen für Rhyth­mus und Bewe­gung. Par­al­lel zu den Grup­pen­aus­stel­lun­gen orga­ni­siert Rhythm Sec­tion Künst­ler­ge­sprä­che, Vor­trä­ge und Sym­po­si­en zum The­ma Rhyth­mus in der bil­den­den Kunst.
 

Five artists from Chi­na and five artists from Euro­pe show their cur­rent works on the the­me of rhythm in the visu­al arts. “Not to be con­fi­ned by the grea­test, yet to be con­tai­ned within the smal­lest” is a defi­ni­ti­on, which declared the enter­pri­se of the artists group Rhythm Sec­tion.

The essen­ti­al core that con­nects the artists of the Rhythm Sec­tion group in their works is the reflec­tion in deal­ing with rhythm as an ori­gi­nal con­stant. The clear hand­ling of rhythm allows an end­less varie­ty of indi­vi­du­al variations.

Rhythm Sec­tion is a plat­form for artists, who are inte­res­ted in an exch­an­ge on the sub­ject rhythm in the visu­al arts. Rhythm Sec­tion con­sists not only of visu­al artists repre­sen­ting instal­la­ti­on, dra­wing, video, sculp­tu­re, pain­ting, digi­tal art to name a few, but also of art cri­tics and theo­rists, phi­lo­so­phers, tea­chers for rhythm and move­ment. Par­al­lel to the group shows, Rhythm Sec­tion orga­ni­zes artist talks, lec­tures and sym­po­si­ums on the sub­ject rhythm in visu­al arts.
