“Bril­le”, 2025, Objekt, Abheft­strei­fen, ca. 13 x 5 x 13,5 cm

PAN­ORA­MA, Mün­che­ner Seces­si­on in der Berch­told­vil­la Salz­burg, 2025

Beim Aus­stel­lungs­ti­tel PAN­ORA­MA, “alles sehen”, fiel mir eine Arbeit zum Sehen bzw. Nicht-Sehen ein, in der auch das The­ma Kunst und Ver­wal­tung prä­sent ist: Ein grü­ner Abheft­strei­fen, wie man ihn man für Unter­la­gen in Ord­nern ver­wen­det, ist vor eine Bril­le mon­tiert. Dadurch ist der Blick ein­ge­schränkt, nur durch die Löcher in den Strei­fen mög­lich. Gleich­zei­tig erin­nert die Kon­struk­ti­on an eine Schnee­bril­le, bei der die Augen vor zu hel­lem Licht geschützt wer­den — was zur Alpen­stadt Salz­burg passt.
Die Bril­le mit den kreis­run­den Glä­sern ist ein Fund­stück aus dem Kel­ler mei­nes Onkels Albrecht Busch- ich habe sie jah­re­lang getra­gen.

The exhi­bi­ti­on title PAN­ORA­MA, “see­ing ever­y­thing,” remin­ded me of a work about see­ing or not see­ing, which also addres­ses the the­me of art and admi­nis­tra­ti­on: A green fil­ing strip, used for docu­ments in fol­ders, is moun­ted in front of a pair of glas­ses. This rest­ricts the view, which is only pos­si­ble through the holes in the strip. At the same time, the con­s­truc­tion is remi­nis­cent of snow gog­gles, which pro­tect the eyes from bright light reflec­ted by snow—which fits in well with the Alpi­ne city of Salz­burg.
The glas­ses with the cir­cu­lar len­ses are a find from my uncle Albrecht Busch’s basement—I wore them for years.
