Glad to be invi­ted by ein​buch​.haus to con­tri­bu­te to an exhi­bi­ti­on in form of a calen­dar, vol­ving round the topic “time”.

Revi­si­ting the house whe­re I spent most of my child­hood, I came about a card­board box with woo­den toy blocks I used to play, to build with a lot. Re-dis­co­ve­ring them was like a Prous­ti­an moment.
It’s a nice coin­ci­dence that I’ve been assi­gned, 2nd in alpha­be­ti­cal order, Febru­ary, month of my birth, so that fits well with this per­so­nal memo­ry. As a small per­so­na­li­sa­ti­on of the calen­dar, I asked to mark the 5th of Febru­ary, my birthday. 

The exhi­bi­ti­on Calen­dar 2025 is a homage to the exhi­bi­ti­on March 1969 by Seth Sie­gel­aub. Par­ti­ci­pa­ting artists were invi­ted to pre­sent any rele­vant work regar­ding the “Time” and their assi­gned month. Through this pro­ject, ein​Buch​.haus aims to con­nect con­tem­po­ra­ry artists who use the “book” as their main artis­tic practice. 

The con­cept deve­lo­p­ment was crea­ted tog­e­ther with Clau­dia de la Tor­re, start­ing with the first calen­dar exhi­bi­ti­on Calen­dar 2023 in 2022.

Die Aus­stel­lung Calen­dar 2025 ist eine Hom­mage an die Aus­stel­lung March 1969 von Seth Sie­gel­aub. Die teil­neh­men­den Künstler*innen waren ein­ge­la­den eine Arbeit ein­zu­rei­chen, die sich auf den “Zeit” und ihren zuge­teil­ten Monat bezieht. Mit die­sem Pro­jekt möch­te ein​Buch​.haus zeit­ge­nös­si­sche Künstler*innen zusam­men­brin­gen, die mit dem “Buch” als ihre zen­tra­le künst­le­ri­sche Pra­xis arbeiten.

Die Kon­zept­ent­wick­lung erfolg­te gemein­sam mit Clau­dia de la Tor­re, begin­nend mit der ers­ten Kalen­der­aus­stel­lung Calen­dar 2023 im Jahr 2022.
